After our industry took a hit over the last two years, 2022 has brought some excitement back into our offices and filled our calendars with so many fun jobs.
While we have all adapted to new ways of meeting each other and navigated our way into a new normal – our staff, talent, and parents have really taken on these changes like champions and never failed to show us how adaptable they all are.
We have continued to grow our impressive portfolio of work by fostering our relationships with clients and giving our talent a headstart in the industry. We are so lucky to have continued working with some of our longest-standing clients including Cotton On Kids, Rock Your Baby, Country Road, Best & Less, Target, Big W, and Seed. We have also welcomed new client relationships and formats such as emerging brand ‘North By One’ and Tik Tok shorts. #Bettinababe Gigi helped to launch North By One, which is all about empowerment for teenage girls to achieve their goals, one step at a time and Jasmine featured in a Tik Tok series ‘The Disposables’ (40 x 1-3 minute episodes)
We have been fortunate enough to see our talent in TVCs, stills, TV series, feature films, runways, voiceovers and so much more!
Once again, we are able to celebrate our incredible achievements and thank everyone for making it happen. The dedication our talent have for their industry pursuits and the commitment of our agency parents to help fulfil their little stars’ dreams is truly inspiring.
On the Road
Six lucky Bettina Babes based in Perth joined Country Road in filming their beautiful campaign ‘Icons of Summer.’ For our stars Frankie, Harper, Millie-Rose, Savannah, Johannah and Kyrelle, this was less like work and more like fun in the sun! We are so proud to see where the industry takes our talent and are stunned by how incredible the final campaign turned out!
Remembering an Australian Icon
Shane Warne’s passing was a devastating part of 2022. An incredible life full of highs and lows was explored in a documentary in which 4 of our own took part in. Two pairs of our agency siblings Jesse and Kira, and Jack and Ava portrayed Shane’s kids at different ages in the ‘Warnie’ documentary. How special for our talent to be able to pay tribute to one of Australia’s biggest icons. It was an experience they will never forget and we can’t wait to see their amazing work in 2023!
A Christmas Carol
To make this season even more special, our lovely and talented Bettina Babe Sasha hit the stage for the very first time to perform in a live musical production of A Christmas Carol. Sasha has been on various other shoots for some of our retail clients, as well as a pharmaceutical company but this was Sasha’s first professional stage show where she made her debut as ‘Tiny Tim’, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!
Fun With The Family
There is nothing better than seeing parents join in on the fun with their little ones and making shoots a family activity. We love seeing them capture these special memories which they can treasure forever. We have been so lucky to see more of our agency families work together this year in some of the campaigns we’ve been involved in including Lovekins, McDonalds, Melbourne Zoo, Best and Less, Woolies, and much more!
Todd Sampson’s “Mirror Mirror“
In October, Todd Sampson’s documentary ‘Mirror Mirror’ screened on Network 10. The documentary focuses on the dangers of social media and online platforms. Kids and teens were selected to tell real stories about how they use the internet and what they know about cybercrime. A few of our Bettina Babes appear in the documentary and we are so proud of their courage to speak to the camera. Not only was this a fun experience for our talent who hadn’t had speaking roles before, but they were able to spread an important message and help raise awareness of such a big issue in our world today.
Our Mini Legends
Our talent are hard at work – even when you can’t see them! Our star Marcus recorded a voice-over of the original actor in Baz Luhrmann’s film Australia which is set to premiere on Disney+ as a six-part limited series. How exciting to take part in a project directed by one of the biggest names in the film industry!
Port Adelaide fan favourite Aliir Aliir got a mini-me this year – played by none other than our little legend Timothy. He did an awesome job portraying Aliir in the latest round of NAB Mini Legends and we were so excited to see him live out his AFL dream!
Two lucky Bettina Babes landed a gig on the kids’ favourite Play School Art Time where they starred alongside presenter Alex. Molly appeared in episode 4 ‘Big And Small’ and Reeha in episode 5 ‘Pet Portraits’ both inspiring Aussie kids everywhere to get creative and use their imagination!
And that’s a wrap for 2022, see you next year!
